1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of this website, the Startup OS platform, and all programmes, competitions, events, content and services offered by Marwar Mentors Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, having its registered office in India (“Marwar Venture”, “we”, “us” or “our”) under the brand “Marwar Venture” (together, the “Platform”).
These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and do not require any physical or digital signature. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to use the Platform. Users below 18 (for example, student founders) may use the Platform only with the involvement and consent of a parent or lawful guardian, who agrees to these Terms on their behalf. If you use the Platform on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it to these Terms.
3. About our services
Marwar Venture supports early-stage founders through mentorship, programmes, competitions, the Startup OS platform, business services, and by connecting founders with mentors, investors and partners.
- Nothing on the Platform is investment, legal, tax or financial advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Information about startups, including on the “Currently Raising” page, is provided by the startups themselves and is shared for information only.
- Marwar Venture is not a stock exchange, stockbroker, investment adviser, research analyst, portfolio manager, alternative investment fund or crowdfunding platform registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), and does not solicit or accept public investment. Nothing on the Platform constitutes an offer or invitation to the public to subscribe to securities within the meaning of the Companies Act, 2013.
- Any investment between an investor and a startup is a private transaction negotiated directly between them, subject to the Companies Act, 2013 (including private placement requirements), the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 where applicable, and other applicable laws. Investors must carry out their own independent due diligence and obtain professional advice.
- Startup investments carry a high degree of risk, including the risk of losing the entire investment. Past performance is not indicative of future results, and returns are not guaranteed.
- Selection to a programme, competition or the investor network is at our sole discretion. Applying does not guarantee selection, funding, investment, mentorship or any particular outcome.
4. What we charge for — and what is free
Marwar Venture is a services business. We earn our revenue by charging fees for the services we provide to founders, startups and other users. We want this to be completely clear:
- We charge for: (a) program fees for startups selected in our competitions and programmes, which include legalities & due diligence, online & in-person sessions conducted by industry experts, 1:1 mentorship, Demo Days and more (“Program Services”); (b) accelerator and bootcamp programmes, including Venture Launchpad and any other cohort-based programme; (c) workshops, masterclasses, training sessions and courses; (d) the Startup OS platform and its paid plans or features; (e) mentor facilitation — identifying, arranging, scheduling and coordinating mentoring sessions and mentor programmes; (f) business, compliance and advisory services listed on our Services page, including company formation, financial reports, accounting and bookkeeping, RoC compliance, due diligence support, the startup rating engine, fundraising support (such as pitch deck review, investor-readiness and preparation), intern placement and hiring, live projects and strategic advisory; and (g) paid events, where a fee is stated.
- Free of charge: browsing the Platform; reading our content; and applying — to any of our competitions (including the Build Bharat Challenge, KisanXcelerate, TechSprint and FinPulse), to our programmes, and to the mentor or investor network. There is no application fee.
- How competitions work: application to the competition is free. Startups selected in a competition or programme are charged a program fee for the Program Services, which include legalities & due diligence, online & in-person sessions conducted by industry experts, 1:1 mentorship, Demo Days and more. The fee, what it includes and the payment terms are shown to you before you pay, and you are free to decline. The program fee is for the Program Services; prizes, rankings and results are decided on merit.
- Fees are charged only for the services themselves. They are not a payment for selection, for introductions that guarantee an outcome, or for any funding or investment. Paying for a service does not guarantee funding, investment, selection, revenue or any other result.
- Any funding depends entirely on the decisions of independent investors. Marwar Venture only facilitates access to funding opportunities for participants. Marwar Venture, its parent companies and associates do not guarantee, underwrite or promise any investment. They may or may not fund or invest in startups themselves; any such investment is at their sole discretion and on separate terms. Marwar Venture does not collect, hold or handle investment money on behalf of startups or investors.
- Before you pay, we will tell you in writing (on the Platform, in a proposal, invoice or engagement letter) the service, what is included, the fee, applicable GST and the delivery timeline. Fees are payable in Indian Rupees through authorised payment gateways or bank transfer, and a GST-compliant invoice is issued for every payment.
- Cancellations and refunds for paid services are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable use
In accordance with Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, you agree not to host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, store, update or share any information that:
- belongs to another person and to which you do not have any right;
- is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another’s privacy including bodily privacy, insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, relating to or encouraging money laundering or gambling, or promoting enmity between groups on the grounds of religion or caste with the intent to incite violence;

- deceives or misleads about the origin of the message, or knowingly and intentionally communicates misinformation or information which is patently false and untrue or misleading in nature;
- impersonates another person;
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States, or public order, or causes incitement to the commission of any cognisable offence, or prevents investigation of any offence, or is insulting another nation;
- contains software viruses or any other computer code, file or program designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer resource;
- violates any law for the time being in force.
You also agree not to scrape, copy or harvest data from the Platform by automated means, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, interfere with the Platform’s security or operation, or use the Platform to send unsolicited communications. We may remove content and suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or applicable law.
7. Content you submit
You retain ownership of the content you submit, such as applications, pitch decks and documents. You grant Marwar Venture a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, store, reproduce and share that content solely to operate the Platform and provide the services you have requested, including sharing it with mentors, jury members, investors and partners as described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm that you have the rights needed to grant this licence and that your content does not infringe anyone’s rights.
We treat confidential business information shared with us with reasonable care. However, mentors, jury members, investors and partners are independent persons, and we do not guarantee that ideas shared at events, competitions or open sessions will be treated as confidential. Do not share information you consider highly confidential unless a separate non-disclosure agreement is in place.
8. Intellectual property
The Platform and its content, including text, graphics, illustrations, logos, the “Marwar Venture” name and marks, design, the Marwar Venture Magazine and the Startup OS software, are owned by or licensed to Marwar Venture and protected under the Copyright Act, 1957, the Trade Marks Act, 1999 and other applicable laws. You may view and share Platform pages for personal, non-commercial use with attribution. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or create derivative works from them without our prior written permission.
Logos, trademarks and names of third parties shown on the Platform belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only; their use does not imply endorsement, partnership or any claim of rights.
9. Competitions and programmes
Each competition and programme may have its own eligibility criteria, timelines, evaluation process, prize details and rules, which will be published on the relevant page or shared with participants (“Programme Terms”). Programme Terms form part of these Terms; if there is a conflict, the Programme Terms prevail for that competition or programme. Application to a competition is free; selected startups are charged a program fee for Program Services as described in “What we charge for — and what is free”. Prize pools (for example, the prize pool worth ₹18 Lakhs in the Build Bharat Challenge) consist of credits and perks offered by our partners, not cash. The availability, value, eligibility, validity period and redemption of every credit or perk depend entirely on the credit policy and terms of the partner offering it, which may change or be withdrawn by the partner; credits and perks are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and Marwar Venture is not responsible for a partner’s fulfilment of them. Any “funding up to” amount refers to the opportunity to pitch to independent investors and is not an amount paid or guaranteed by Marwar Venture, its parent companies or associates. Prizes, credits, funding opportunities and other benefits, where offered, are subject to the conditions in the Programme Terms, completion of documentation and applicable law, including tax deduction at source where applicable. Decisions of the jury and organisers are final.
10. Fees and payments
Fees for paid services are as stated before you pay (see “What we charge for — and what is free” above). Unless agreed otherwise in writing, fees are payable in advance. If a fee is not paid when due, we may pause or stop the related service. Prices may change from time to time, but a change will not affect a service you have already paid for. Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
11. Third-party links and services
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, news articles, tools and services that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, products or practices, and your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
The Platform and all content and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marwar Venture disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that any startup, mentor, investor or partner information is accurate or complete.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marwar Venture, its directors, employees, mentors and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, investment or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform, any investment decision, or any interaction between users. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Platform or our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Marwar Venture for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or ₹5,000, whichever is higher. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Marwar Venture, its directors, employees and partners from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your content, your violation of any law or the rights of a third party, or any transaction or dispute between you and another user.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, an application or a programme at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms or Programme Terms, provided false information, or acted in a manner harmful to other users or to Marwar Venture. You may stop using the Platform at any time. Clauses that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
16. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably through good-faith discussions for thirty (30) days. Failing that, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be the city in which our registered office is located, and the proceedings shall be conducted in English. Subject to the above, the courts at the city in which our registered office is located shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in this clause limits your right to approach a Consumer Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 where applicable.
17. Grievance redressal
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Intermediary Rules, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, complaints about the Platform, its content or our services may be addressed to our Grievance Officer:

We will acknowledge complaints within 24 hours (or 48 hours where required under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020) and resolve them within 15 days of receipt, or such other period as may be prescribed by law.
18. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and any Programme Terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Marwar Venture regarding the Platform. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver. We may assign these Terms; you may not assign them without our written consent. We may update these Terms from time to time; the updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date, and your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance.
